Today, let’s bump up the contrast for a bold take on triumph.
This is from a few years ago when my son wrecked his PT Cruiser and it caught fire.
Before changes in contrast:

It’s a big world out there! Show us what you see in a landscape.
Out my back door this past winter. Cold but beautiful.
Site of the first landing where first settlers came on shore from the James River. Since 1607 the river has eroded about 25 acres of this part of Jamestown Island. The original shoreline was close to the present edge of the river channel, a little more than 100 yards offshore from the seawall. Gives you chills to be standing in the same spot where the first settlers came on land.
Capture a fleeting moment and experiment with blur and movement.
That moment when you know it’s gone from being silly to completely over the top.
Study architectural forms, and also train your eye to look for shots that will translate well in black and white.
I think the simplicity of this one translates well to black and white – Mammoth Cave Baptist Church. Established 1827 Flint Ridge Road, Mammoth Cave National Park. Original church blew away in storm in the 1920’s and this one is the rebuilt one about 50-75 yards from the original church location.
Then there’s The Mentz House in Park City, KY with all it’s angles… Built in 1885 by C H Smith of Bowling Green, KY, it was hotel and office for the L & N and Mammoth Cave Railroad. It burned in 1897 and was rebuilt on the original foundation in 1902 and was home to the Baulch Junior School, a hotel, a nursing home, an apartment building and a private residence. It is now being restored and is said to be haunted.
